Service Projects
On Thursday February 23, 2012, conference attendees participated in a variety of service projects throughout Post Falls.
This year's service projects include:
Project Linus –– Located at Red Lion Templin’s Hotel in the Blue Heron Conference Room. Get Creative! Volunteers will be helping to make fleece blankets, cards for the kids who will receive the blankets and miscellaneous other items to help Project Linus carry out their mission.
St. Lukes Children’s Hospital (Learn and Serve Idaho) –– Located at Red Lion Templin’s Hotel in the Merganser Conference Room. Brighten a Childs Day! Volunteers will be making worry dolls for kids at St. Lukes Children’s Hospital.
Q’emilin Park –– Located at 12201 W. Parkway Dr Post Falls. Grab your Gloves! Volunteers will be doing park cleanup as long as there is no snow on the ground. If there is snow on the ground volunteers will be repairing and painting the restroom facilities.
Post Falls City Hall –– Located at 408 N Spokane St. Post Falls. Roll up your Sleeves! Volunteers will be taking down the holiday lights around City Hall, checking the lights to make sure they are working and then packing them up for storage.
Operation: Military Kids --Serve Idaho has partnered with
Operation: Military Kids to encourage the community to donate items and personal letters for
"Hero Packs" to be given to children up to age 16.
We have backpacks waiting to be filled with small items and letters of support for kids! We will be accepting items at the conference. Don't forget to write a letter for a child during the conference!
