Idaho@Play is a state wide initiative which brings AmeriCorps members and community volunteers together to promote play as a way to combat childhood obesity. This year National Service members in Idaho will come together and conduct over 14 projects statewide.

2013 Idaho@Play Highlights

2013 projects included:
  Youth In Motion Play Day, 10am to 2pm at Boys and Girls Club of Ada County
  • May 11, Bonner's Ferry - Play-n-Serve, 9am to 3pm at Memorial Park
  • May 11, Hailey - Hop Porter Park, 9am to 1pm at Hop Porter Park
  • May 18, Pocatello - Kicking it with Idaho@Play, 12pm to 3pm Cadet Field Idaho State University
  • May 25, Boise - Celebrate Veterans at Zoo Boise - 9am to 12pm at Zoo Boise

Statewide, over 150 volunteers were recruited to help with Idaho@Play projects, and more than 1,700 people were served by these projects!

Sherman@Play an Idaho@Play project comes in 3rd place - Thank you!
GREAT NEWS!  The Sherman Elementary Playground will receive a $25,000 grant to make a difference in Nampa Community. Sherman Playground is one of 40 organizations to win a State Farm Cause An Effect grant.  

After three weeks and more than 1.2 million votes, State Farm® will present Sherman Elementary with a $25,000 grant to improve Nampa community. Sherman Playground was one of 3,000 Cause submissions State Farm received through Cause An Effect, a crowd-sourced philanthropic initiative that relies on non-profit organizations to create solutions to community issues identified by Facebook users.
